Sponsored by the Tavernier Elks 1872, a special celebration is planned for surviving WWII veterans, and their caregivers, as well as all veterans in and out of uniform and the public, to join a luncheon for WWII veterans, brave men who served this country as part of “The Greatest Generation.” Lunch, drinks and entertainment are to be provided. VJ Day if the official date of surrender of the Japanese in the South Pacific, considered the official end to WWII.
